GCSE / IGCSE tutoring: business subjects in Accounting, Business Studies and Economics, taught to your own board — CAIE, Edexcel or AQA — and Mathematics (Core and Extended) taught by Mr Wong. One-to-one, Kwun Tong or online, free trial lesson.
PY Education tutors GCSE and IGCSE students in the business subjects: Accounting, Business Studies and Economics. Mathematics is taught by Mr Wong, at a different rate from the three business subjects.
For most students this is the first time work is marked outside their own school. The ideas in these three subjects are not deep; the marks are lost to format. Multiple choice rewards speed and precision, structured questions want length matched to the marks available, and calculations have to show workings. None of that comes from reading — only from timed practice.
CAIE, Edexcel and AQA differ in coverage, paper structure and how they set the same topic. The first lesson establishes which board and which paper combination you are entered for, and the teaching follows that board's published criteria. Practising against the wrong mark scheme is an easy waste and an entirely avoidable one.
After GCSE / IGCSE comes the choice between A-Level and IB, and whether to carry the business subjects at all. The habits formed now — diagrams especially, and accounting layout — decide how quickly a student settles into either. We teach with the intended next step in mind.
IGCSE Mathematics, Core and Extended, is taught by Mr Wong. He also teaches A-Level, IB and AP mathematics, so he knows what each of the three routes after IGCSE assumes — which is what decides the part of the algebra worth getting to the point of needing no thought this year. Mathematics is charged at a different rate from the business subjects; see the fees below.

All three. Their syllabuses and paper formats differ — the statement formats in Accounting and the case-question structure in Business are not the same across boards — so tell us which board your school follows and lessons run on that syllabus and its past papers.
Yes. GCSE / IGCSE is an entry-level course and assumes no prior study. Accounting starts at the accounting equation and double entry; Business starts at business activity and stakeholders. Both build up step by step, with no prerequisite subject.
We teach both routes, so the depth of the IGCSE work is adjusted to your intention. Heading for A-Level means more practice with modular long-response writing; heading for IB means meeting case analysis and evaluation earlier. Which route suits you is worth discussing at the trial lesson.
Yes — tick the box on the application form. The trial establishes your board and how far school has taken you, then where to begin.
Mathematics is HK$650 per hour, with 60-minute lessons, billed every four lessons (HK$2,600 for four), taught by Mr Wong. The three business subjects are HK$700 per hour with 60-minute lessons, taught by the founder, Tinnie. The first lesson can be free on either side.
