Most of the ideas here are close enough to everyday life that students do not find the reading hard, and then lose marks in the exam anyway. The cause is usually not misunderstanding but writing too generally — asked whether a firm should expand, an answer that lists advantages and disadvantages and stops short of a decision rarely reaches the top band.
First, use the material in the case — an answer that would suit any company scores at the bottom. Second, show workings on the calculations; break-even and cash-flow forecasts come up constantly. Third, commit in the evaluation: say which option you recommend, and what would have to change for that recommendation to change.

CAIE, Edexcel and AQA. Case-question structure and mark distribution differ between them, so tell us which board your school follows and lessons run on that syllabus and its past papers.
Case questions do not test how many definitions have been memorised; they test whether the material in the case was used. The same answer is generic commentary without a reference to the case and analysis with one. We ask for every paragraph to tie back to the case, and once that habit sets, the marks steady.
We teach both. A-Level leans on modular long-response questions; IB BM leans on the pre-released case and the IA. Depth and practice type are adjusted to your plans at the trial lesson.
