IGCSE and GCSE mathematics tutoring covering Core and Extended, the calculator and non-calculator papers, and working written to earn the method marks. One-to-one or a self-formed group, 60 minutes a lesson, Kwun Tong or online.
Need GCSE / IGCSE mathematics tutoring? Classes are taught by Mr Wong, who holds an MSc in Financial Mathematics and Statistics from City University of Hong Kong (Distinction) and a BBA in Finance from the same university, a full-time tutor with five years of one-to-one and small-group teaching experience. He also teaches A-Level, IB and AP mathematics, and knows what each of the routes after IGCSE assumes.
Covering both the Core and Extended tiers, taught to the CAIE, Edexcel or AQA syllabus and its marking guidance, with past-paper practice throughout. In Kwun Tong or online, one hour a lesson, which suits students here and studying overseas.
The first lesson confirms the board and the tier and paper combination, and the work is planned to that syllabus. The two tiers differ in scope and in the grade available, so we settle which one together, against the student’s level and what would benefit from attention first.
Algebra is the core of IGCSE mathematics and the tool that A-Level, IB and AP all keep drawing on. We build fluency in indices, equations, factorisation and functions, so that what comes next is lighter work.

The two papers ask for different things: the non-calculator paper tests fluency in the arithmetic, the calculator paper tests complete working and judgement in the timing. We practise them separately and ask for full working on every question, because these papers award marks by step.

Both. If it is not settled yet, bring recent test papers to the trial lesson and we will judge it together — Extended has the higher ceiling, and we advise from where the student is now and where they are heading.
