What is "Accounting" to a business?

Accounting is the process of recording the financial transactions of a business. A complete accounting process includes summarising, analysing and reporting business transactions. Accounting is often called the language of business: it communicates a business's performance and operations.

Why should students study Accounting from (I)GCSE to (I)GCE A-Level?

Students are trained to be as well-equipped as real accounting staff — recording a wide range of financial information, understanding and applying different accounting principles, and making use of control systems. From foundation to advanced level, students learn to implement a complete accounting system and become ready to apply their knowledge in the real business world.
