Economics Tutoring

Taught by an experienced tutor who graduated from the CUHK Business School, with over three years of DSE Economics teaching and more than eight years as a business-subjects tutor, helping countless students achieve outstanding results. From S.3 through S.6, we teach the core concepts of Economics end-to-end, working through complex question types and spotting exam traps early, so you are ready to take on the DSE.

Foundation Economics Course

Covers scarcity, opportunity cost, interest and other essential concepts that everything later builds on. Unlike typical tutorial classes, we never rush the basics — the details matter — ensuring students do not build on a faulty foundation.

Key topics: scarcity, factors of production, production and consumption, and more.

Advanced Economics Course

Centred on demand and supply theory, with a complete command of its analysis in common scenarios. At this stage students answer with a combination of diagrams and written explanation; the goal is to analyse and respond flexibly to different market situations.

Key topics: demand and supply theory, price elasticity and market intervention.

Since 2019, the DSE has included data response questions. Compared with past exams, students need a stronger grasp of data synthesis and current economic affairs, and the ability to analyse from multiple angles. We actively build this question type into our lessons so students have ample time to master it.

Advanced topics: efficiency and equity, AS-AD theory and more.

Students often struggle with integrated questions and find it hard to budget time across topics. In class we explain how exam content is distributed, so students joining at different stages can all reach their exam goals within a reasonable time.

Question-type analysis: solving multiple-choice questions in seconds, accurate numerical calculation, full-mark structures for written answers, and more.

Past Paper Practice

We provide mock papers based on many years of public exams (Paper 1 and Paper 2) so students become familiar with every DSE question format and build up experience. Tutors also hand out answers with worked solutions, helping students grow ever more comfortable with the exam.

Handwritten Notes

Notes that are not pre-made let the course fit each student's needs — a major difference from other tutorial centres, and the reason revision becomes twice as effective. Combined with vivid examples in class, students can feel the care the tutor puts in — results that spoon-fed cramming or homework-supervision classes simply cannot match.
